So this guy isn’t the owner of the lovely purple one in Seattle I offered to buy. He is however the owner of this facelifted white Sc400 in Battle Ground (Vancouver WA area).

He had actually reposted his CL ad. You guessed it, it needs the timing belt serviced. But damn if it doesn’t look clean. It looks amazing really.

I will not be partaking. Maybe I’ll buy it from HondaBro one day. But it’s Team Celica for now.

Seeing all these SC400s is making me want one. I don’t know how well they handle, but when I was out taking pics of the 3rd gen for the Oppo review I saw a guy in one coming off one of the twisty roads I frequent.

In case you were wondering HondaBro my dad said a grand would get you the timing belt, water pump, all idlers, and all pullies. And because of age the cam shaft seals leak and if you do that with the timing belt is another $900 but is worth it. If you have any other questions I can ask.

You did get that information for me earlier. At a dealership though, they’d overcharge by quite a margin, which means I’d be looking at a $2500 service for all that.

I still want a RWD V8 Lexus. GS400's don’t look too bad...

It’ll come. You just have to be patient. My dad spent a good year or two until he found a very clean, low-mileage Honda Accord that he gave to me in high school.

Find yourself a good Lexus shop and you'll be good. We're not a a "cheap" place so some places might be lower some might be higher.

GSs are good fun except in my driving position the blinker light is blocked by the steering wheel. Also you could possibly get a GS430
